Plasticizing systems
The plasticizing system is the heart of an injection molding machine. It consists of the material feeding, the screw with non-return valve and the barrel with nozzle. For all these components, the choice of material and the component geometry are fundamental. Battenfeld offers an extensive range of plasticizing systems and thus fulfills all requirements of a modern injection molding operation.
As standard, Battenfeld utilizes a constant L/D ratio of 22:1 throughout the entire screw diameter range and thus fulfills the requirements of high plasticizing performance and melt quality. Tailored screw designs are available for special applications.
